The senses of sight and touch are both engaged as visitors to Oak Grove's Temple Baptist Church first experience the 2,000-square-foot mural representing the Creation story from the Biblical book of Genesis. The elaborate seven-part mural is the result of a year and a half of hard work--a tree labor of love--by artist and church member Kym Garraway. Garraway originally approached the church's pastor with her idea before the building was even erected, and plans to include the mural in the children's Sunday school hallway began immediately
And God made the two great lights, the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night; he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light upon the earth, to rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.
